Monitoring and trying to predict the progression of isolated cutaneous lupus to systemic lupus is a key aspect of managing CLE. Laboratory SLE, systemic lupus where the sole clinical feature is cutaneous lupus and the systemic diagnosis, is based on ACR/EULAR laboratory criteria.
